Thai Dressing/Sauce from A Village Crossroad

Place these ingredients in a saucepan:

2/3 cup soy sauce

1 cup water

½ cup lime juice (juice of 4 small limes)

½ cup chopped cilantro (measure after chopping)

2 Tablespoons chopped ginger

6 cloves garlic, chopped

1 cup brown sugar (packed)

 

Heat to boiling, turn off heat and infuse for 20 minutes

 

To thicken:  add 2 teaspoons cornstarch mixed with a little water.

 

USES:

Marinate meat or fish for the grill.

 

Warm Vegetable Salad:  Sauté bok choy, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, red pepper (with or without fresh meats). Thicken at last minute and place on top mixed greens.
